Thank you

Hi Rajko,

I just wanted to thank you for your comments about the Configuring Drivers page. The feedback is great appreciated and really helps me learn from more experienced users such as yourself. I've had no formal training with OpenSUSE or graphics processing, and most of the information that I have written has been derived from issues that I have faced and have learned to work with.

I have a few questions regarding your feedback:

  • Concerning the "piratical" definition, I do not fully understand the idea being portrayed through this area of the comment. Many of the points on my user page are basic notes, almost stickies, on topics of importance or to gather information for myself in a central location.
  • I'm not very familiar with compiled graphics drivers and the kernel together, so any further information that can be provided would be a great help to me. I will temporarily remove the information pertaining to the kernel and compiled driver, so as not to mislead new users on that topic, if my information is not completely correct. I definitely do not want to teach new users misleading information. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
  • The last point, about the title, has been a consideration for some time. I believe that changing the title would be a good idea and I think that I will do that in the near future. I have read the major sections of the style guide, and have tried to tie in the suggestions from that page, and organize the information in the best possible way so that it does not become overwhelming when reading, and is easy to find information on the page.

Thank you again for the feedback.

Comments from more experienced users is a great help for learning further information on topics (in this case, graphics drivers).
